‘Vaanam’ goes to Hindi

It’s a journey from Tollywood to Kollywood to Bollywood. Telugu blockbuster ‘Vedam’, which was remade in Tamil as ‘Vaanam’ and hit the screens last week, is now all set to speak in Hindi.

And the Hindi version too will be directed by Krish, who had wielded the megaphone in Tamil and Telugu. “I will make few more changes to the script to suit Bollywood,” says the filmmaker.

He adds: “The script of ‘Vaanam’ is universal and it can be made in any language. I am not bored at directing the same thing for the third time. Rather I would say I have got an opportunity to take the film to a new set of audience.”

Happy about the response to ‘Vaanam’, he says, “While the Telugu masses welcomed ‘Vedam’ in a silent way, Tamil audience received ‘Vaanam’ in a colourful manner. Honestly, I can’t ask for more.”
